Trees are budding, birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and the grass is growing greener: Spring is “hopping” in and Easter is right around the corner. Come on out and enjoy a “good ole fashioned” Easter Egg Hunt at Staunton River Battlefield State Park on Saturday, March 27, 2010. The Easter Egg Hunt is intended for children 10 and under; admission is only $3 per person.
The Easter Bunny will be “hopping” in at the State Park and he has brought lots of goodies to share. The public is invited to join in on the fun! The Historic Staunton River Foundation joins with Staunton River Battlefield State Park to host this annual event. Registration begins at 1:00PM, followed by an exciting Easter Egg Hunt from 1:15-1:45 P.M.; other activities are from 2:00-3:30 P.M. Children will be divided into groups according to their ages for the Easter Egg Hunt. Children need to be accompanied by an adult.

But that’s not all, you and your friends and family will have a chance to visit with the Easter Bunny, pet live bunnies, participate in a wide-array of games and fun activities, win prizes, and much, much more! Bring your easter basket and camera, and don’t forget to bring your family and friends! In the event of inclement weather, the hunt will be held Sunday, March 28.
